عام 1990 كتب المغني الرئيس في فرقة سكوربيونز “كلاوس ماين” أغنية Wind of Changes (رياح التغيير) والتي ضربت شهرتها الآفاق بحلول 1991
جاء توقيت كتابة الأغنية مع التحولات العميقة التي جرت في أوروبا الشرقية من سقوط جدار برلين، وتفكك الاتحاد السوفييتي… إلخ. وقامت الفرقة بجولة أوروبية شملت تلك البلدان، حيث كان في استقبالهم آلاف من المعجبين الذين ذرفوا الدموع أثناء تأديتهم للأغنية بشكل جماعي مع الفرقة.
كلما أستمع إلى هذه الأغنية أتمنى لو كنت هناك معهم…. أو كانوا هنا معنا….
